CAREER PATH November 2020– to present Senior Manager: Legal Affairs Department MTN Syria: GSM operator Main Tasks Provides legal counsel and guidance to the management on all legal matters, including personnel law, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, contracts, and other laws and regulations. Anticipates and identifies legal issues and counsels’ management in order to develop legal strategies and solutions often with limited time for assessing alternatives. Represent MTN Syria in the group conferences in South Africa (Johannesburg) in periodic basis to discuss the compliance and legal situation also to set road maps and action plan. Reviews, researches, interpret and prepare both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues. Represents or coordinates the representation of MTN Syria in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other governmental agencies. Develops and manages annual budgets for the legal affairs department. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Provides oversight of the investigation of complaints dealing with harassment, equal employment opportunity…etc. Designs, establishes, maintains and oversees the company’s contract review and approval mechanisms. Reviews contracts, leases, and other legal documents; researches legal issues and recommends revisions as necessary. Reviews, and recommends approval of policies and procedures, regulations, and other legal documents. Manage and assist the legal team in fulfilling the legal tasks efficiently. Check and review all legal document before approval Negotiate, draft and review contracts and ensure that they conform to the company’s needs. Organize and split the work within the team To meet every week with the team or when needed to discuss the current and the future legal issues and their follow up To meet externally with the establishments’ representative for issues in relation with the legal work To be in permanent contact with external lawyers for the follow up of the court actions. Coordinate with the legal department in MTN Group.
